[/li][li]let us not forget the Black Scorpion angle [/li][li]El Gigante [/li][li]NWO; 24-7! . . . . .until we go blind! [/li][li]Lost In Cleveland, the Cactus Jack story [/li][li]Shockmaster
I'm pretty sure all those (aside from NWO) and the Dungeon of Doom weren't Russo, but more likely Ole Anderson or whoever else booked back then. Those were definitely pre-Russo. And NWO was Bischoff IIRC. Gotta love the Wrestlecrap book. So much knowledge. Quite a while ago, they had a crosspromotion. I think they actually even used Robocop to theme a PPV.

Get this, even Arquette himself was against his championship gain. Yeah, I remember reading about that. He was a big WCW fan and had a lot of respect for the title. Poor guy helped to disrespect something he respected. I don't blame him, I blame management. . .and Jazz. . .for being ugly.

[/li][li]he turned Earthquake into a shark [/li][li]he created an evil leprechaun character [/li][li]he had a mummy wrestler named "Yeti" [/li][li]he pushed the same people over and over again [/li][li]he allowed David Arquette to hold the World Championship [/li][li]he allowed Ultimate Warrior to become a reincarnated BatMan [/li][li]let us not forget the Black Scorpion angle [/li][li]two words; booty. man. [/li][li]Chucky and Robocop made guest appearances on WCW. . . [/li][li]El Gigante [/li][li]Nash Vs. Hogan, the finger poke of doom match [/li][li]NWO; 24-7! . . . . .until we go blind! [/li][li]KISS = cool. KISS Demon = not cool. [/li][li]The Juicer [/li][li]Lost In Cleveland, the Cactus Jack story [/li][li]Jay Leno [/li][li]Oklahoma, the poor man's JR [/li][li]Shockmaster [/li][li]Dennis freakin' Rodman [/li][li]Viagra on a Pole Match. . . [/li][li]Zodiac [/li][li]oh. . .and he's Vince Russo.
Pretty much all those things except three or four were all Eric Bischoff. Russo was WWF's magazine writer in the early 90's, then became their TV writer, then left in 1999 to sign with WCW. As far as putting the belt on Arquette, he did it because he wanted people to talk about WCW, the reason he put the WCW Title on himself? The same.

Davvid Arquette rocks man though see him in Ready To Rumble? Yeah, he totally rocks. He plays a frigging waste transporter or something that sticks his finger up his ass and uses it to get free stuff at the convenience store. He's also the biggest mark evar. He is soo cool. Well, never seen the movie but that's what was described when I heard about it IIRC.

I watched an interview with Russo on TWC...and he actually seemed to make sense...what he was coming out with...catering to the wider audience, and not in-wrestling cliques...making wrestling appeal to as many people as possible, for the greater good.
So he isn't a purist, but it came across like he loved wrestling, and was not happy with Vince's peculiar fetish for *big men*

So he isn't a purist, but it came across like he loved wrestling, and was not happy with Vince's peculiar fetish for *big men* That may be true, but his view on what people want to see is skewed. He thinks Americans only want to see Americans, therefore all the Mexican and Japanese cruiserweights were either gone from WCW or stuck in stereotype roles. Among other things.

Yeah Amelia, I saw that interview on TWC too, what else did he say? I remember something about when he went back to WWE about two years ago, and Undertaker, JBL and HHH all objected, they didn't want him in their locker room. He said he didn't know what their problem was because he got on with all of them, and all he wanted to do was help. They offered him the consultant position, but he didn't take it because he wanted to be more hands-on in the writing.

Yeah, I sort of forgot that I was supposed to be listing bad things that RUsso thought of instead just went on a spree pointing out all of the crappy stuff WCW did in general. lol.
