Part 1: The Journey Across The Street *Two men stand on the edge of a sidewalk, facing towards the road.*Jake: So... how is that wife of yours? Karl: Fine, atleast thats what she told me anyways. Jake: It must be hard not being able to see your wife like you used to? Karl: Beleive me, it is. But life goes on. Jake: Yeah, it does doesn't it. *Both men look across the road to see if its clear.*Karl: I can hear a car coming, but I can't see it. Jake: Yeah, I get that feeling sometimes, and I'm not... Karl: Blind. Jake: Yes. How'd you know what I was going to say? Karl: Cause we had this conversation yesterday, the day before, and the day before that. I know I'm blind jake, you don't have to keep reminding me about it. Jake: Oh yeah, sorry Karl. I always forget things like that. *Theres complete silence for a few seconds.*Jake: Look, we're in the clear. Karl: Here, let me put my arm on your shoulder. Jake: Sure. *Both men walk off the sidewalk and into the street.*

Part 2: The Journey To The Donut Shop *Both Jake and Karl step onto the sidewalk from there journey across the street.*Jake: So which way shall we journey next? You got your left, straight forward, or you can go right. Which is it gonna be? Karl: We went left yesterday right? Jake: Yeah, I think so. Karl: So, lets go right today. *Both men make a right and start to walk down the sidewalk.*Karl: Tell me when we find a donute shop. I'm craving something sweet. *Jake takes his wallet out, looks through it, and puts it back in his pocket.*Jake: Sounds good to me but... Uh... Hey Karl... I was just wondering if there was any chance of you paying today. You know, I've been paying for the past week and a half. Karl: Now jake, I'm blind, I already told you to stop reminding me didn't I? Jake: Yes. Karl: Well then, would a blind man be stupid enough to carry a wallet? *Jake pauses to think.*Jake: From your reaction to my answer, and the anger in your voice... I guess not. Karl: Your correct for once. *Jake sees a Donut shop and pats Karl on the shoulder.*Karl: Yes Jake, what is it? Jake: We're here sir. Karl: Good. I'll take two glazed, and a cup of coffee. Now hurry along. Jake: All right sir, I'll be back. *Jake opens the door to walk in.*Karl: Hey Jake. *Jake stops, as Karl bends down, takes off his right shoe, and pulls out a 20 dollar bill.*Karl: Its on me today. Steve: I thought you... Karl: Don't think son, just do. *Jake is stunned as he walks into the donut shop.*To Be Continued...
