Im gonna post as I look, if I see somethin cool, Ill post. DAMN IT! SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT ISNT THAT GREAT OF A SONG!!! Hell yeah! The Weight by the band is 41! Glad to see the Byrds at 79. Lots of Zeppelin and Beatles.. thats good. Public Enemy places higher than BB King?! WTF?! Outkast higher than Creedence Clearwater Revival? This is stupid! Lots of hendrix.. even seen a few Guns N Roses! The first Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne song is at 250? F*ck you rolling stone! Okay.. Pink Floyd comes in at 316?! This list is really getting gay. Not much from the Doors.. that sucks. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young in at 385? Damn! ONE Eagles Song? ONE Blue Oyster Cult? No Van Halen, No ZZ Top, No Iron Maiden, No fuggin 80's Metal At all! F*cking Weezer was on the list over some of the best f*cking bands that SHOULD have been on there! This list had some good points, but most of all it is a bunch of bullsh#t.. It had too much bullsh#t music on it. That was a waste of f*cking time. Rolling Stone USED to be cool back in the 70's, but its got so damn commercialized its not even funny... F*ck you Rolling Stone and F*ck your stupid list! Ranting over..

i agree... alot of their stuff is bs. True, but what's good is pretty good. I do think Smells Like Teen Spirit is a little high... #9 of 500 all-time is crazy.

Yes!!! The Cure is 278 and 487!!!!. . . YES. Umm, a lil confused why the Eurythmics is on the count down. I mean Sweet Dreams is a good song. . .but come'on. . not that good. I think they had TOO much Nirvana. . .I mean come'on.

QUOTE... "Welcome to the ultimate jukebox: the second edition of the ROLLING STONE 500, a celebration of the greatest rock & roll songs of all time, chosen by a five-star jury of singers, musicians, producers, industry figures, critics and, of course, songwriters."
The list contradicts itself. In bold it says Rock & Roll songs. Last time I saw people like Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, Eminem etc weren't classed as Rock & Roll genre.
BTW if it was Top 500 Greatest Songs Ever all Genres then Tupac would be in my Top 10 somewhere.

Manson's Sweet Dreams > Eurhythmics's. That I can actually agree with. I may not be a fan of Manson's, but I do like that song.

Hmm, I'm gonna listen to em and see what I think. Eh, f*ck them. . . they both are'nt really that good. But I always lean on the 80s side. Hence me picking Eurithymics, they also sang "Here comes the rain again." which rocks so hard, your mom feels it.
