well, kinda...
The online mode is just sad... only one on one matches and you dont even get a record.
it has no backbone.
The roster is light, and kinda weak. But with WWE losing more and more big/little names.. I saw this coming.
Voice overs, while i didn't expect them to be that good.. we're so f*cked up... They made me laugh.. some of them were pretty good (Vince mainly)
But some were just so bad.. like Eric Bishoff's he'll walk out into the ring and then start talking real softly... He has no excitment to his voice like when he usally is giving an announcement in the ring.
The season mode was pretty solid.. but not as good as HCTP.. becasue in HCTP just about EVERY year was different and something new.. I played HCPT for the longest time and only got a repeat story line ONCE..
now, i knew with the voice overs, there wasnt going to be ultra-lot storylines..
Storylines were pretty solid, but many just seemed to be storylines about money, ratings, and sh#t.
like, angle is like "I have to get Big Show here... he'll put our ratings through the roof!!"
That's the jost of a lot of storylines.
The legends rock, but you're f*cked if you wanted to use them for story mode.. that's a no no..
the graphics are better, but the moves and matches are all the same.. so it feels a lot like HCTP..
until you get into the "Cleen/Dirty" meter.
sometimes i like the meter, sometimes i f*cking hate it.
here are somethings you can do to fill your meter.
DIRTY (Heel)
- Take off turnbuckle pads.
- throw enemy into exposed turnbuckle.
- give low blows.
- argue with ref after a long two count
- hitting the ref
- using ANY weapons, this includes beating up your enemy on guard rail
CLEAN (Face)
- Doing a move from the top rope
- Taunting
- doing a signature move
if you get your dirty up, all you do is give them person a massive low blow, if you get your cleen, you hulk up.
if you're dirty and do something clean, like jumping off the top, you get dirty points reduced.. so it's kind of a double edged blade... the good news.. it doesnt really matter if you get your stupid meters up...
the stairdown/shove/power test at the start are pretty cool.
the chest slapping contest is kind of irritation if you have a lot of people in the ring and you can't see becasue of the big ass stat meters and then a big large slap meter in the screen.. it pisses people off.
It's hard to see through the damn hell in a cell. and when people split up, it's like you're playing Mini SmackDown Vs. RAW
back to story mode, SmackDown and RAW DO battle it out.. at WrestleMania you have a 2 out of 3 falls matchup and try and unify the world titles. pretty cool, i guess.
SmackDown! Vs. RAW in my view, was rushed... they should have spent a little more time on the best wrestling video game ever made.
